We are pleased to share that we have a rare General Sales Manager opportunity based at our EMG Kings Lynn Kia Dealership, within this role you will have the opportunity to coach and mentor a team for one of the fastest growing family run Dealer Groups in the UK.

As an EMG General Sales Manager, you will be at the heart of all sales enquiries, collaborating closely with the sales team to ensure customers fully understand their commitments, doing so with integrity and fairness. You will also work alongside the Management team to oversee the daily activities within our sales team, identifying opportunities for incremental sales and stock acquisition.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and develop the Sales Executives within your team to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organisation and its current and prospective markets.
  • Provide guidance to Sales Executives during negotiation processes, assisting in finalising agreements and closing sales.
  • Collect and analyse market and customer data to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Collaborate with other managers to negotiate variations in pricing, delivery timelines, and product specifications.
  • Offer insights on upcoming product developments and coordinate special promotional initiatives.
  • Monitor stock levels and product displays, providing advice to Sales Executives to ensure effective inventory management.
  • Maintain close communication with the production team to monitor vehicle progress and act as a key contact throughout the process.
  • Regularly evaluate personal sales performance, striving to meet or surpass established targets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and their specific requirements to offer tailored solutions.
  • Facilitate the ongoing training and professional growth of Sales Executives within the team.
  • Conduct routine performance reviews to provide constructive feedback and encourage continuous improvement.


Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • A proven ability to identify and execute key success factors that drive business growth, profitability, cost efficiency, and high levels of employee and customer satisfaction.
  • 3 years within a management role in the automotive sector is advantageous, however if you are still looking to move up in your career we place greater value on attitude, character, and leadership potential.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on fostering customer satisfaction and building loyalty.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership, paired with financial acumen.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills across various levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in the motor industry is preferred.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for outstanding customer service.
  • Solid understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
