Purchased our first EV car from MG Ipswich this July. What a dream car the MG S5 truly is! Jack and Sam were absolutely wonderful and didn't rush us into anything. Both were helpful, knowledgeable, and took time to explain everything, making the process of moving to an electric car much easier than we anticipated. It was a big step for us but now even after only 4 weeks of driving her we're hooked. Can't recommend them, and MG enough. Thank you guys.

Dan made sure our requirements were met with our purchase, taking the time to listen to everything we needed, and finding us the right car and right deal. Communication was clear all the way through the process of getting the new car. Dan made sure the handover was thorough and enjoyable, making sure we did not leave until we were happy with the car, and made sure the app we needed was all setup and our phone configured, so all we needed to do was drive away! 5* doesn’t really do the experience I had justice, I’ve rated other things 5* before but this was a level above. Jack C went above and beyond in order to get me in my car after I was let down the day before with a different dealer. I enquired and reserved a car at 3.30pm on a Saturday and Jack had it ready to go and I was able to drive away at 2.30pm on Sunday. I don’t think I’ve had better a customer service experience than was provided here. The car is great, very fairly priced and was exactly as described, no attempt to mislead or coerce which was a relief as I’d travelled 5 and a half hours by train (240 miles) to pick up this car. The distance genuinely wouldn’t make me not consider buying a car here again even though it was well out the way. Thanks again. Top service.

We visited the EMG showroom Ipswich last week with a view to part exchanging our current MG for a new one. We were warmly welcomed by Oli who discussed with us ( over tea & coffee ) what our requirements are & showed us the latest cars available. Oli’s knowledge & professionalism were very impressive, he was also very friendly & knew exactly what we needed in a new car. We test drove an MG S5 electric car & decided it was the one for us, we collected it today. Oli showed us how the car works & all the things it does, having never driven an electric car before we thought it would be quite complicated but Oli showed us how easy it is to drive our beautiful new MG. I just bought a used car through EMG with Ollie and it was a fantastic experience, I’d been looking for this type of car and saw it online, we popped in just to have a look. Ollie made the experience so easy, he explained everything clearly each step on the way he didn’t push me on anything and didn’t even mind when I struggled a little on the test drive, I switched from a very small car to something bigger for me and he was so encouraging, giving me peace of mind that it’s just something you get used too. Sam in finance was also great, they all kept me up to date each step of the way until it was time to collect my new car, which was so simple. Ollie was also showing a new member of staff how the handover process went which just demonstrated how knowledgable he is about the process. Thank you for such a great experience!

I recently purchased an MG4 from EMG. The experience was faultless from start to finish. I was looked after by Sam, Darren and Oli who were all incredibly polite and professional. Sam and Darren dealt with my initial enquiries when I walked into the showroom whilst Oli looked after the test drive, purchase and handover process, which was smooth and efficient, taking the time to demonstrate the various infotainment and vehicle settings. Oli followed up with a courtesy call the day after purchase to check everything was OK. What stood out for me was the friendly, no-pressure approach and the flexibility afforded to me in holding the vehicle on deposit for a little longer than may be typical. The team at EMG have surpassed all of my expectations! Firstly, Jack...he has been so helpful, full of knowledge and guidance. He took me for a test drive in an electric automatic, which was a first for me and he was patient and guided me through how to drive all over again! Then we had an issue with our current car and I nipped in to see how long our new car would be and was told not yet, which did not help my situation...however, Darren then stepped in and offered me the use of another vehicle until ours was ready! I cannot thank them enough for allowing us to do that, my daughter now won't miss her karate tournament. Passed by today, just to show my husband the car I'd already agreed on 😂 and was then taken out on another test drive in the model I had chosen. I purchased the MG ZS and after only having it for 5 days I was not happy with the purchase I spoke to sam and it was agreed I could look for a different car they were very understanding about my situation and why I didn’t like the car and was very prompt to sort the problem for me I managed to change my car to a Skoda the transition was smooth and didn’t take very long I went for a test drive with Ollie and he answered all questions I had about the car and called me after a couple days to see how I was getting on with the car and said if I have any problems or questions then to contact them

Got a really nice used car with great spec and low mileage at a low price. Glen was great in explaining all the details and giving all information on the car, sent a video outlining even all the tiniest imperfections and was really nice to deal with. I saw the EMG advert online for one of the last MG5's at a very attractive price so went to the EMG showroom in Ipswich to have a look. The sales staff there were very helpful and although we hadn't made an appointment Frankie, the Sales Manager, quickly arranged and took us for a test drive. This was my first drive in an all electric car, Frankie was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The test drive was great, so we purchased the car and arranged to pick it up in a few days. Frankie sorted all the paperwork and guided us through the transfer of my much loved BMW X5, and also the personal plate transfer. He could not have been more helpful. Very polite and considerate, in all a very professional service, and for us a very pleasant experience. A few days later I was contacted by Lyndsey from EMG to discuss servicing plans and so on, she was also very pleasant and helpful. I would most certainly have no hesitation to use EMG Ipswich in the future based on this experience. Thank you all.

The team at EMG / Ipswich MG made ordering my new MG3 Trophy stress-free. They arranged a test drive on my first visit, and then again when my wife thought she’d better have a demonstration of hybrid automation. No sales pressure but all the details provided to allow time to make an informed decision. Special mention to Jack Camp for his friendly customer service. And so far so good with the car, purchased as a replacement for my Fiesta and also a step towards going fully electric next time.

After a stressful experience with our insurance company, we felt in safe hands with the team at EMG MG Ipswich. They helped us secure one of the last remaining MG5s at a great price (with the easy option of £99 deposit - much easier and fairer than other dealerships), communication with them was always proactive, forthcoming and faultless. Went to Ipswich from London to look at cars on a recommendation. I could not believe the service I got, it was absolutely brilliant. I bought a car on Saturday the 8th of February, it was delivered to London on Tuesday the 11th. I would always go back there, it was well worth the drive. I got exactly what I wanted for a very good price and without any pushy salesmen. I highly recommend them.

Hi, I had an appointment today with Oliver. I was welcomed into the showroom with a pleasant cup of coffee. We reviewed the type of vehicle I was looking for and the reasons for my choice. Oli was polite and helpful, if he did not know the answer to a question he found it out rather than provide a vague of inconclusive reply. We then took a test drive and a number of other questions were covered. At the conclusion of the drive we discussed my appraisal of the car and agreed that it was not after all what I wanted. We then considered several other options and budgets. At no time did I feel that I was being steered on pressured, but clearly the sales staff were motivated to find something suitable for me if they could. On my drive home I reflected that I had a positive visit although unsuccessful on this occasion. Sometimes it is just as important to know what you dont want. We were very pleased with our purchase of an MG5, our first EV. Bob Pegram was very helpful and polite in facilitating our purchase, answering all of our questions in an honest and straightforward manner. We had to do some testing with car seats (we have 2 children), and the staff were very helpful. We even left with 2 complimentary MG plush bears called Morris, in addition to our new car. Having previously found buying a used car a dreaded activity, we were pleased that this was such a pleasant experience this time around.

We have just purchased an MG HS trophy from the EMG in Ipswich. We are delighted with the car and all the team at EMG. We dealt with Oliver from the sales team who made the process smooth and simple. Buying a new car or making any large purchase can be intimidating and stressful but Oliver put us at ease he was polite honest and informative yet not pushy.

What sn incredible experience, having visited other horrific and pushy car dealerships in Ipswich I was reluctant to continue searching. My wife said she'd like to visit the EMG MG dealership in Westend Rd, I was slightly apprehensive but on entering the showroom I was immediately impressed. The atmosphere and willingness to assist was off the scale. Bob Pegram introduced himself to us and he was quite superb, his customer service was beyond reproach and he met all of our needs and we bought the car that best suited our tastes and needs. He then introduced my wife and I to the Sales Manager Darren Gower what an incredible man, it is obvious that his team clearly get their approach from the 'Boss'. All round service was superb, would I use them again? In a heartbeat. Thank you Ipswich MG for looking after a young couple in their 70's, extremely rare in the 21st century.

Another happy customer, having bought a new MG3 Hybrid+ early in the new year. Very lucky to have Andy Porter looking after us from start to finish. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable and always available to answer questions, be it in the dealership, or over the phone. Everything was done and ready for the handover day, and the V5 was received within a week. First class service from a very helpful dealership.

Five stars for this dealership so far. I went to have my car serviced and was blown away by the great customer service. I then got carried away and ended up buying a new MG HS Trophy phev from Glen. No hard sales, informative and very friendly service from Glen and indeed the whole team. I know it's still early days with my new car but I'm loving it, such great value and style. Surprised myself how quickly I got used to all the technology in this superb car but Glen was extremely patient explaining it and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Glen and EMG Team.

Dealt via Carwow. Initialy happy with process and service received from Jack/Glen. However part of the offer was for £30 petrol and free mats. Noticed mats were missing so they provided them. Also queried about fuel, was told it was done but on way home had to get petrol as only a small amount was included.

We have been looking for a new MG for a while as a family car but had no clue what to look for. Darren was absolutely brilliant and gave us plenty of help in picking the right car. He was very attentive and listened to what we were wanting and had to say. The place was lovely and clean and the co-workers were very friendly and made sure help was given when needed. The dealership was very informative and had a great selection of cars. Darren made sure that the process of beginning and end was made very easy. They kept in touch with us through the process and let us know if anything needed changing or something new come up. When we popped over for a test drive, they were so helpful and didn't hesitate to get the keys and let us out for a drive. I can't thank them enough for the help they've given us and I wouldn't reccomend anyone else but them!

November 2024 I saw the MG ZS EV Trophy on Autotrader and liked what I saw. We visited the showroom in Ipswich and Oliver Cox went above and beyond to help me. I am registered disabled and have respiratory and mobility issues but, Oliver wasn't phased and took care of everything ensuring that my new white MG came out of storage and was prepared for me to collect, when I was able to collect it... I truly appreciate everything he was able to do for me.

We went to test drive the new MG 4 at the weekend and we were looked after by Oliver Cox. Oliver was very knowledgeable about the car and was patient in showing me how everything worked as I’m not familiar with fully electric vehicles. He answered all of our questions and we were sold as soon as the test drive finished! We’ve moved forward with the purchase of an MG 4 and can’t wait for it to be delivered! Thank you Oliver!

I can only speak very highly of EMG Ipswich for open honest dealing and excellent customer service. I am 71 and have bought dozens of new and used cars and motorcycles over my life and this was the very best of experiences. I had recently been burned badly by an Edinburgh MG dealer who twice offered me MG5 cars they could not deliver (once through Carwow and the second time by direct documented deal with myself) this is called "bait and switch" tactics when the dealer does not have and has no ability to get the actual cars they offer me at the price they quoted. EMG Ipswich and Jack Bell in particular could not have been any better than that shower of Rogue MG dealers in Edinburgh. So much so that I accepted EMG's quote immediately and accepted the need to travel 400 miles from Edinburgh to Ipswich to collect my new car (just 7 miles on its odometer). They provided me with the registration number and VIN immediately I called on the Tuesday so I could insure my new car on the Wednesday for Thursday pick-up. I paid the price in full online by secured verified payment on the Tuesday and flew down to pick my car up on Thursday and drove it home to Port Seton (near Edinburgh) that same day. EMG's price was £110 lower than the rogue Edinburgh MG dealer and included a metallic paint finish (normally a £585 extra compared to the plain white paint "offered" in Edinburgh). EMG had my car fully charged at 100% for my journey home as I had requested. Before I left EMG gave me a very valuable and welcome and unexpected gift (see for yourself what you may get). When Jack introduced me to my new MG5 he set it up for me to use the Economy drive setting and with Regenerative braking set to the maximum level of 3. Once he did so the car showed a likely range (on 100% charge and with 7 miles already on the odometer) as 263 miles but he cautioned that I would probably get between 220 and 250 miles and this is in the range confirmed by many on-line reports. Jack programmed my trip computer (ZapMap) to plan for 3 recharges on the 400 mile drive back to Edinburgh in case they were needed. However, I only needed a single recharge at 212 miles at which point the car system said I still had 24% battery charge and 70 miles range remaining. I worked that out to be a full range (on 100% charge) at that time of over 280 miles ! I drove North on the A14 and the A1 and eventually on the A68 at about 50 mph and on the A1(M) at about 60mph (remember I am a 71 year old man, with no passengers and with no baggage and no heater/air-conditioning in use in cold but far from freezing weather and a brand new battery system) and by the time I got home and used the car in and around Edinburgh then recharged to 100% (using an overnight 3-PIN slow charger) my system showed the screen in this photograph - expected range of 326 miles at 100% ! with the car now being familiar with my driving level after 453 miles. (Remember I got those figures driving in Economy mode with Regenerative braking at level 3). I give a wholehearted endorsement (based on my own long previous vehicle purchase experience) of EMG, Jack Bell and the, new to me 2024 MG5 SE long-range base model. I found car and dealer to give customer satisfaction well above the level I could have reasonably expected. Happy electric car driving via EMG to all, Francis Buchanan.

Just brought an MG M4 EV I am completely new to the electric car scene I only went for a test drive and ended up buying the car. Oliver Cox is new to the team and was helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with, he is definitely an asset to they sales team, not at all pushy with just the right level of communication. They were able to match a deal I had seen elsewhere and so far everyone has been really helpful Definitely would recommend the dealership.

I have purchased a ZS from Ipswich, from a distance, which is always difficult. We had a few issues to overcome but I am more than happy with the outcome. Miz was great. He made everything very easy for us and the whole process was smooth from test drive to hand over. Had a slight issue with the vehicle since, but EMG have been easy to deal with and offered to fix without hesitation or quibbling. We’re delighted with the vehicle and the service we received.

Had my 2 year old ZS EV serviced at EMG yesterday and delt with service reception guy Lee Ward. The customer service I received was first class, efficient and professional. Lee understood my requirements and kept me informed of progress and the work completed. EMG is not my nearest MG dealership, but with this level of service, I will continue to travel the extra distance to get my car looked after by Lee at EMG Ipswich.

A great experience with getting my car serviced. Communication was clear from the point of booking, to the book in email a few days before to on the day. When the service was finished, the video and easy to understand green/amber/red rating of each element was brilliant. This also allowed you to quickly and easily add anything from the red to the basket and I, almost instantly, got a message to say they were now working on those elements and would contact me once it was done. A very quick and easy process!

So happy with my new car and customer service received from EMG. Cieran the salesperson made my first experience of buying a new car an enjoyable one. Smooth, no fuss and hassle free. Within 20 minutes of entering the showroom I was test driving the make and model I purchased, which is further than I had gotten in over 3 weeks of dealing with another competitor. It was through frustration I went to the main dealer and I’m so glad I did as I actually ended up receiving a much better deal and a higher spec vehicle. Beyond pleased and would highly recommend.

Chris was very helpful at our first visit and we felt comfortable returning to the showroom and ordering a car. He was particularly patient on our test drive as we weren't used to an automatic car. We will be happy to return for car servicing and are grateful for his concern regarding every aspect of our purchase.

We driven. We followed the parking signs and we ended up stuck at the back up out of the road because the yard was so full of cars. The gentleman came out and did explain why there's so many cars in the yard and nowhere to park so we backed out and parked near the road. Look around overall. Very busy as in cars everywhere. Sit out ok. The signs need changing really. The gentlemen did apologise and overall 7 out of 10. He was quite knowledgeable. He was very helpful. We didn't get anything but he seemed to be a really nice man, personally, I think he's a very good asset for EMG Ipswich/

Gary showed me all round the car told me everything I needed to know and all my options and let me have a test drive and I fell in love with it , and within 24 hours the car was mine. Went to collect today and Gary showed me everything I needed to know in detail as coming from a Renault Clio to a Nissan duke is a big difference . Thankyou so much Gary for all your help well done

Purchase my car from there today and couldn’t be happier Gary the salesman was absolutely great he walked us through every step of the way checked to see if the car was available for us at Mitsubishi uk and took us on a no pressure test drive we then signed all the paperwork and waited for the car to arrive and now 8 weeks later we drove away in our new car and couldn’t be happier. Could not fault the service we received today. My son wanted to buy a (performance) car as it was his birthday. Unfortunately, because he is only 22 he wasn't allowed to test drive it. Great buying experience, with friendly staff. Just bought a Focus ST from here, from the first phone call to the final drive away I couldn’t be happier. Excellent, knowledgable staff, nothing was too much trouble. I noticed a few chips on the car, fixed them up no problem before sales.
