Kia Picanto 

As nippy cars go, you can’t beat the Picanto; small but perfectly formed, this 5-door city car offers fun as well as convenience, not to mention a small engine size for ultimate economy. Kia Rio 

A step up from the dinky dimensions of the Picanto is the Rio, a robust hatchback that can comfortably accommodate rear passengers and still be economical, easy to park, and fun to drive. There’s a not-too-shabby 325-litre boot space hidden away in the back too! This is the perfectly versatile car for those that often drive solo, but like the option of doing those longer journeys with passengers too.

Kia Ceed 

As a car that’s been seen ascending the heady heights of Auto Express’s Top Hatchback list, the Ceed is a car that’s reputation precedes it. Slightly bolder in design, the Ceed cuts a stylish figure on UK roads, without compromising on practicality thanks to its generous legroom, an abundance of storage, and 395-litre boot. Rated 5 stars by Euro NCAP, the Ceed is a safe bet as a family car.

Kia Xceed 

Taking the popularity of the Ceed and enhancing it further, the Xceed brings some crossover magic to this celebrated family car; a higher driving position, rugged body styling and a specification packed with tech make this hatchback feel more like an SUV. 

There are several different trim grades to choose from, all with various features on offer. For example, with a ‘2’ you’ll get an 8” touchscreen, LED bi-function headlights, and a reversing camera, ‘3’ models have an upgraded 10.25” touchscreen and get heated front seats, whilst ‘4’ models boast a 12.3” digital driver’s display, power tailgate, a panoramic sunroof. 

Kia Soul EV

A practical hatchback with bags of style, the Kia Soul EV has the added benefit of a 64kWh lithium-ion battery, offering 201bhp and the satisfaction of zero emissions. Inside, there’s room for four adults – or a young family of five – to travel in comfort, making it a great choice for eco-conscious families, or the solo traveller that needs that little extra space. 

Kia EV6

The EV6 is truly a car of the future, with an all-electric drivetrain and an eye-catching design. The interior is truly a human-centred experience, with immersive panoramic dual 12.3" curved displays, ambient mood lighting and reclining front seats so that you can kick back whilst charging.

Kia ProCeed 

If you’re looking for a smooth ride in a stylish car, then your search ends at the Kia ProCeed. There’s an emphasis on comfort within the roomy cabin, plus a sporty steering wheel and plenty of impressive features that will make this a dynamic but not impractical choice. 

The spec starts strong, with even the entry-level GT models featuring heated front seats and steering wheel as standard, while drivers of the GT-Line S will enjoy an 8-speaker JBL premium sound system and a Smart Power tailgate.

Kia Stinger

For a pacey set of wheels with a head-turning design, the Kia Stinger delivers. Launched in 2017, the Stinger allows occupants to travel in style and comfort, powered by a 3.3-litre T-GDI 365bhp petrol engine - it can travel from 0-60mph in roughly 4.5 seconds! For those often on the road, the in-built navigation system comes in very handy, with real-time travel updates so that you can always stay on the best route.

Kia Stonic

Launched as a compact crossover, the Kia Stonic is a well-equipped cousin of the popular Rio, with bold, chunky styling and the option to really stand out with two-tone paint colours. The Stonic should be on the list of any image-conscious family looking to upgrade, as it can tackle the school run and long motorway trips with equal ease.  

Kia Niro 

Available in three models — the Niro Hybrid, the Niro Plug-In Hybrid, and the all-electric Niro EV, the Niro is a force to be reckoned with. Kia Sportage
