Nissan Unveils the New N-Trek Variant for the X-Trail

  • Published: 30 May 2024

Nissan’s iconic electrified family SUV takes a further step into the wild with the introduction of the new N-Trek variant, aimed at daring and adventurous families with a love of the great outdoors.

Positioned between the N-Connecta and Tekna grades in the lineup of the X-Trail, the N-Trek complements the main pillars of no-nonsense ruggedness that define this model. New inclusions of LED fog lamps are integrated into the lower bumpers, which now feature a gunmetal finish at the front and rear. The N-Trek version also gets new 18-inch diamond-cut, polished wheels with high-gloss black finishes for the wing mirrors, dark roof rails, and trim finishes, giving this version an almost stealthy, purposeful stance.

Interior Designed for Adventure
Inside, the new upholstery is water-resistant and wipe-clean, embodying the adventurous spirit of N-Trek buyers. These customers are more likely to return to their car after outdoor activities in all weather conditions. Be it trail running or mountain biking, customers can now splash through muddy puddles with the kids and jump into their N-Trek without worrying about the upholstery. The robust interior includes rubber floor mats and an easily cleaned reversible boot liner, complementing the added robustness of the X-Trail's existing five- or seven-seat configurations.

Range of Accessories
Naturally, the X-Trail’s existing wide range of accessories is also compatible, including towbars, roof bars, bike racks, and a cargo area organizer. Paint options for the X-Trail N-Trek include Gun Metallic, Champagne Silver, Pearl White, Diamond Black, and Ceramic Grey. The former three and the latter are also available in two-tone configurations, each featuring a black roof to match the mirrors.

Powertrain and Performance
The new Nissan X-Trail N-Trek sparks new desirability heights for the iconic family SUV. This model is available exclusively with the e-POWER or e-4ORCE powertrains, which use an advanced turbocharged 3-cylinder 1.5-liter engine with variable compression ratio technology to generate electricity and charge the car’s battery. The battery powers a single motor connected to the front wheels in the two-wheel-drive e-POWER version, while the superior e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive powertrain features a motor at each axle. This system can adjust the application of power up to 10,000 times per second, maximizing traction on slippery surfaces. This sophistication ensures a smooth and seamless drive on challenging conditions, both on and off the road, without the need for recharging.

Ready for Adventure
These purposeful and practical changes make the N-Trek even better suited for adventurous families, encouraging them to go further, get dirty, and have more fun outdoors, no matter the conditions.

Striking Design
Arnaud Charpentier, Region Vice President Marketing & Mobility AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania), said, “We designed the X-Trail N-Trek with a simple motto: Let’s Get Dirty. It captures the spirit of a core group of X-Trail customers who embrace adventure and the outdoors and want to interact with their vehicle to enjoy time and adventures together. This vehicle offers a set of class-leading packages from the stylish exterior with uniquely N-Trek design details to the water-resistant interior and two-tone paint options. All this merges into a compelling formula matched to Nissan's pioneering electrified powertrain, which combines e-POWER and e-4ORCE. Electrified adventures await.”

The X-Trail N-Trek, with its striking looks and advanced features, is ready to take on the great outdoors with your family, making every journey an adventure.
