New Jobs at EMG: Join Our Workshop Team in East Anglia

As a car retailer dedicated to the long-term care of the cars that we sell, both new and used, it’s important to us at EMG that we have a knowledgeable workshop team on hand to keep cars running smoothly, diagnose any problems with ease, and make swift first-time repairs. 

It’s currently an exciting time for us as we have several vehicle technician jobs in East Anglia, and in some cases, we’re looking for Master Technicians and MOT testers too! 

What are we looking for from our workshop team? 

Knowledge and experience

When it comes to fixing and maintaining vehicles, no two days are the same. Therefore, we’re looking for someone who loves a challenge and can problem-solve methodically and accurately, with an attention to detail that means nothing is missed. 

Confident communication 

Each and every customer is important to us, and it really matters to us that they’re kept informed of what’s going on while their car is with us, and what happens next. This means that we’re keen for our vehicle technicians to be confident in communicating issues that can be pretty technical in a way that can be understood. 

A willingness to learn 

The technology that manufacturers use to make cars, and the methods used to fix any problems with them is evolving all the time - and so must we. It’s exciting to see the developments that happen in our workshops, so we’re looking for technicians that are as hungry as we are to keep up to date. 

Speed and accuracy 

Maintenance and repairs need to be done thoroughly, but our workshops also work to deadlines, so someone with good time management skills who can organise themselves to meet the expectations of our customers is ideal. 

Safety first 

The safety of our staff and customers is paramount, so all of our workshop team members will need to adhere to the rules that keep the whole team, and the cars we work on, safe. 

A full UK driving licence

This may seem obvious, but we should mention it anyway - to move and road test our vehicles, you’ll need to be able to do so legally.
